How to learn Ecommerce

Ecommerce is a huge industry, and there are many different aspects to take into account when you want to launch your own online store. Whether you’re an absolute beginner or an experienced business owner, here are some valuable strategies recommended by Ecombabes for learning about ecommerce that will help you succeed with your new venture!

There are different types of ecommerce that exist and you need to choose which one is best for you:

Online retailers: Selling physical and digital products online. This is very common for small businesses, who have a limited number of products and are seeking to rapidly grow their customer base.

Physical retailers: Selling physical products in stores or online. This is more common for established brands with large inventories looking to build direct relationships with customers.

Marketplace sellers: Selling goods on sites like Amazon, eBay, Etsy etc. Marketplace seller offer convenience because the company handles all aspects of storage and shipping so that you can focus your efforts elsewhere!

Drop-shippers: Drop shippers provide suppliers as well as software which will help you create an inventory database from which orders will be fulfilled by the supplier without ever having any product shipped directly to your own location (unlike traditional wholesalers). The main benefit here is cost savings but there is also a risk of reduced control over your inventory, so do some research before you dive in.

Marketplaces: A marketplace is any site which offers buyers and sellers of goods or services the opportunity to transact business with one another via either a fixed price system, auction pricing system, or bidding process. You can sell your own items but also find new ones from other people for sale in these types of sites. Two popular examples are Etsy (for handmade crafts) and eBay (for secondhand goods).
